Shar Pei
The Shar-Pei, distinguished by its characteristic wrinkles and loose skin, presents a unique shedding profile based on its distinct coat varieties: the short horse-coat or the slightly longer brush-coat. Remarkably, the Shar-Pei is not a prolific shedder on a daily basis, offering a relatively low-maintenance grooming experience. However, this breed does engage in seasonal shedding, particularly during the transitional periods of spring and fall, triggered by noticeable changes in day length. During these seasons, the Shar-Pei undergoes a shedding phase, releasing some of its hair. Despite its seasonal shedding tendencies, the Shar-Pei's overall shedding is minimal, contributing to its reputation as a dog with a manageable grooming routine.
